Do Doxycycline capsules cure acne without the matching gel?

I have been given doxycycline capsules and gel for my acne and the gel really makes my skin burn and feel hot, is it oki to stop using that but continue with the pills~ will this still cure my acne? D;

I had a bad acne problem for years and decided to try a few over the counter and doctor prescribed creams and pills. They reduced my acne a little but not 100%, I still had acne forming and a lot of it. So I decided to get the book and give it a try since nothing else was working. It was about 3-5 days later after reading the book and doing what it said and I saw no more acne forming anymore and within 2 weeks I was completely acne free and have been that way for the past 2 years. My face is no longer reddish and they even show how to get rid of acne scars. I have my confidence back and can’t be happier. It helped me tremendously and I’m forever grateful to it. I’m still using the things I learned from it 2 years later with no acne whatsoever. Anyways I think I’ve done enough rambling about me and I hope you give it a try too.
