How to tell the difference between baby acne and a heat rash?

My one month old has small red pimples all over her face especially her cheeks, between her eyebrows/fporehead but nowhere else on her body ... Im just wondering how to tell the difference between the two ?? And how do u get baby acne to go away? Also, how do u get heat rash to go away??

1. If it was heat rash it would go away when the baby is cool. It's not heat rash it's millia. Baby acne starts a few days- weeks after birth and there's nothing you can do to make it go away. it's the result of the baby developing their own hormones. My pediatrician suggested not bathing the baby as often as it could dry out her skin and make it worse. Keep lotion on your child and wait it out it will go away on it's own.

2. I don't know how to get rid of baby acne. But I know that you get rid of a heat rash by getting the baby cooler.

A heat rash is caused from being to hot.
So to find out if it's a heat rash just strip down your baby to a diaper or less and keep her in no more than a diaper for a few hrs. Maybe give her a cool bath or a cool washcloth on her face. If it does go away then just put her in something a lot cooler than what she was in in the first place.

If it's acne then that won't help it.

It could also be something else. So speak with her doctor if it doesn't go away by tomorrow.
