1. One of the home remedy mentioned by every other is person is washing your face. Keep your face oil free which will definitely help in reducing the chance of re-occurrence. Clean face will lead to reduce this ailment.
2. I used to have moderate acne which used to be a massive nuisance. I found this really good site explaining how to prevent spots, what makes them worse and how to treat them.
The best way to treat spot is to know what causes them. Hormones produce this substance called sebum (which is excreted onto your face). When lots of sebum is produced, then pores get blocked. When these pores are blocked bacteria and infections can occur in the dome causing the spot to become red and painful.
This shows why when you are on your period you have a sudden outburst of acne - it is a myth that diet affects spots. It is mainly stress (as that produces hormones).
Many face washes can aggravate spots by either over cleansing the skin (making it produce more sebum) or/and leaving residue, which can block the pores.
The site i mentioned contains a lot of the information that you will need, so I will list the site below instead of writing it all out.
I hope it helps :)

5. Acne
Everyone suffering from acne problem is looking for a quick and easy acne treatment. They try whatever they can find, be it buying skin products, going for facial treatments or consulting a skin doctor. All these might help to alleviate the problem a little, but they do not really solve the actual problem that is deep-rooted inside your body.
There are many acne treatments and you can choose to use them concurrently. However, I would only recommend natural acne remedies. Do some of the skincare products that you see on TV works? Yes, to a certain extent. But you must remember that most of these acne treatments contain many other chemicals which will have other side effects in the future. In certain cases, it might even worsen your acne condition.
Stop acne from within your body
Most of you who suffer from acne could be due to what is going on in our bodies. You might be suffering from a food allergy that you are unaware of. In addition, our bodies are intoxicated with plenty of harmful chemicals that go into the food we eat and the air we breathe. We need to remove them using detox remedies. These chemicals might contribute to hormonal imbalance, which leads to acne breakouts. You can find many such remedies by doing an online search. Remove these toxins in your body and you will be on your way to a healthy-looking skin.
Another simple and yet effective way to treat acne is to drink plenty of water. Water can help remove the toxins in your body, thus speeding up the detox process. You should stick to drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day. Your skin will also look more radiant when you hydrate enough…

<<<Natural Acne Remedies>>>
The most effective means of treating acne-prone skin is to employ varying water temperatures. Washing your face with warm to hot water removes dirt, oil and makeup and opens the skin's pores; rinsing with cool water will then shrink pores and stimulate circulation.
"Cool water is actually a bit of an anti-inflammatory,
additional acne treatment: pumpkin.
Mix 200 grams of pumpkin pulp with 1 tablespoon of non-fat sour cream and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water. This will cleanse your face, open up your pores and give your skin a glow!
For another simple pimple remedy, recommends soaking a chamomile teabag in warm water, then applying the teabag to the affected area for 15 minutes. The teabag works as a warm compress and contains flavonoids and bisabolol, which have anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe the pimple and reduce redness.
7. I'm that way too, the week before my period I get a bunch of new zits, that usually stay there for another week. Just do whatever you do when your not about to get your period. Only do it more. Wash your face an extra time, put on extra spot treatment, and be sure to use extra moisturizer. Think about it this way, at least you know when the acne is coming and can prevent it, it will just take some extra work. But, if you feel you are over washing- which can just make acne worse- then you should get extra strong acne medicine and use it less. I don't know what all products you have tried, but for hormonal acne you should definitely use benzoyl peroxide. This eliminates acne bacteria, where as salycic acid simply clears the pores of dead skin. Salycic acid is in most of the Nutregena products, I don't recommend them for your particular case of acne. Also, benzoyl peroxide is usually sold in 2.5%, 5%, and 10%. 2.5% is in products such as proactive and acne free. I'm assuming you have already tried something like that, so start with 5% and then 10%.
8. I am not sure but you can may get some help from here -

Rub ice cubes on face for 10 minutes to tighten the pores.
Cucumber juice can also be used to tighten the pores. Apply it and allow it to dry for 10 minute
10. Go to the doctor, I went recently and was prescribe benzoyl peroxide, its amazing, it does make your skin quite dry but thats only if you apply a lot of it and you don't need that much. Its the same stuff thats in proactive solution so basically identical but SO much cheaper and if your in the UK and under eighteen it will be free not sure about anywhere else. Or if you don't want to go to the doctor you can get it over the counter but you will have to pay, don't think its very expensive though...
My doctor did say something about this other treatment that you have to be referred to a dermatologist for but thats only for very severe cases and if nothing else works and the benzoyl peroxide works great for me but its definitely something that could be explored.
You could also try going on the pill, two of my friends (and most of the internet) swear by one called dianette (it made mine worse but as I said- most swear by it)
