What are some good home remedies for acne scars?

I'm 16, have combination skin and have acne scars. They're not like the ones you see on Lawrance Fishbourne that make your skin look like oatmeal, but they're red and dark. I'm half Hispanic, but my skin is pretty light. So, my acne scars arr dark. I don't want to have to go and see a dermatologist and let them make me take a bunch of harsh chemicals - I want something more natural.

What are some good home remedies that actually work?

1. i know what you are saying, i had huge weeping boiles. i know that the side effects to some of the meds can blind you. keeping it simple works so much better. i used clean and clear and witch hazel. yes after rinsing i would wipe my whole face down with witch hazel. it works. it may take some time but if you don't pick you can come through this thing without any scars. you can put the whitch hazel in a beautiful bot. to help remind you but if you start wiping down the pimple with witch hazel, in about 3or 4 days a scab will fall off and no scar. things don't have to be expensive to work. good luck.

2. There are a lot of natural treatments you can use to fade these scars, I know I used to have a lot of them and I combined these methods and they faded A LOT in about a week :
1. Lemon Juice- use a cotton swab and rub a little bit of lemon juice on your acne scars. Lemon juice has a lightening property (ex.: using it to lighten hair), so it will help your scars fade. Also try to drink alot of water with lemon to detox your body.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar- mix 3 tablespoons of water (4 if you have sensitive skin) with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Dip a cotton swab in the mixture and put it on your scars to help them fade.
3. Eggs- try using eggs for microdermabrasion. You can read more about this online, its difficult to explain haha
4. Honey- slather some honey on your face, and mix it with nutmeg and cinammon for exfoliating and acne preventing purposes. Leave it on your face for about 15 minutes and wash it off. It should soften your face, reduce redness, and fade scars.
5. Tomato- has alot of vitamin A that helps new healthy, clear skin grow in faster
Good Luck!
