How to help baby acne?
My daughter is 4 wks & her poor little face has broken out with this baby acne & most people say leave it alone but I've heard people used Aveeno wash or Neutrogena baby wash & it helped. I've used the Aveeno baby lotion on her face but it hasn't helped.
Anyone tried these or other's with results please share!
And also how long does this tend to last?

1. I always just washed my Daughters face with a Lukewarm rag when she had Baby Acne.
Everything else always made hers worse. Its really not recommended to put anything on their acne because it only makes it worse. Just keep her face clean by washing it gently with pure lukewarm water and it should be cleared up within a few weeks.
2. That is very common in babies. It usually lasts about a couple weeks but can stay for months. Do not scrub your baby's face since this could make it worse. Baby acne isn't like adult or teen acne. It's not caused by dirt so don't use acne medication on it either. Simple warm water is the best for baby's sensitive skin. If you want to use a lotion try a unscented baby lotion. Be patient it will go away. :D
3. Yeah what Cricket said. Plain warm water with a soft rag is the best. You should never put lotion on a baby's face. My son had acne and it cleared up on it own while I just kept it clean.
4. Infant acne is normal and will go away on it's own. Putting different products on a baby's can actually make the situation worse because of a baby's delicate skin and the fact it would be prone to reactions from chemicals. You can try the different baby washes if you like but do not put anything else on it, especially a cream or lotion designed for adults that contains harsh infredients.
5. Just keeping it clean with a pure cleanser is the best you can do. Unless she has dry skin, I wouldn't put any lotion on at all (keep it clean & pure).
My baby boy had the same thing & the pediatrician made a few special points: First, do NOT attempt to put medicine on it; Second, do NOT pick at it at all; Third, do your best to not touch it with any other bare skin. I noticed my sons was the worst around his temples, which is where his head laid as he breastfed (and it would get sticky/sweaty there against my arm skin). I started putting a blanket between our skin so that wouldn't happen anymore, and it helped quite a bit.
It cleared up after only a few weeks, and his baby skin came right back, perfect. Don't worry too much about it! :)
6. Don't put anything on it, it will go away on its own. If you put something on it, it might make it worst. My sister's baby had baby acne at around 4 weeks as well.... It was so sad to look at his cute little face but don't worry it will go away on her baby it took 3-4 weeks to go away! Good Luck!!
7. just leave it alone it will go away by itself
8. It's going to happen and you can't stop it. It's just your baby's skin trying to balance itself. I wouldn't put anything on it otherwise you'll be delaying the balancing period. It'll clear up within a few weeks. Don't worry about it - start enjoying your bundle before she grows up and starts dating! If you worry about those little things, you won't know what hit you!
9. Really, leave it alone. The more you scrub at it and lotion and wash it the more your baby's own body doesn't know how to handle normal skin oil production. It doesn't last long, especially if you just leave it alone. If you keep washing the oil off and drying baby's skin out, the more oil she will produce and it will be a never ending problem.
