Anyone have cradle cap and baby acne at the same time?

My 5 week old looks like she has cradle cap, but it also looks like she has a rash or baby acne on her face, upper back, chest. Has anyone's infant had this? Is one linked to the other?

1. No, they are separate. Just about all babies get cradle cap and some get baby acne. At one point my daughter had both. Use a wet wash cloth on the acne a few times a day (no soap). For the cradle cap wash her hair first and then put on some olive oil and let it soak in, use a baby hair brush to rub at the scales and then wash the oil out. Next bath do the same thing, it will probably take a few oil treatments to remove it all.

2. No, I don't believe they are related. Babies can have one, but not the other, both at the same time, or none at all. My daughter had acne for about a month, and in that time, she had a bit of cradle cap. I did nothing about her acne, and used baby oil for on her head, them combed it with a fine brush. After that I bough moisturizing baby wash, because it seemed like Johnson and Johnson was drying out her skin, including her scalp.

3. It is possible to have both at the same time. My daughter got cradle cap and acne at the same time. I realized that she tended to break out more when my mom would hold her alot (my mom wore perfume and I didnt-not sure why the perfume broke her out). For the cradle cap- do like the first answer said. However, I would use baby oil instead of olive oil (it is less expensive and smells better on their head).
