How long does it typically take for baby acne to go away completely?

My son will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and he doesn't have bad baby acne, but he does he some on his cheeks that pretty much looks the same as it did shortly after he was born. My daughter never had any so I'm not sure how long I should expect this to take to go away?

2. my daughter had it bad around the same age. i spoke with her doctor and she said that it's very normal and it comes and goes. however it was getting worse and worse because she was sensitive to the products i was using. if you're using baby wash and/or baby lotion try going with a fragrance free hypoallergenic plain soap and lotion (lubriderm is good). that is what her doctor recommended for my baby and it went away in a few days.
